This used to be a healthy living blog.  A here’s-what-I-ate-and-here’s-the-workout-I-did-today blog.

It also used to suck.

 

Pre-June 2010, I was going through some major ish in my life.  I also hadn’t found my voice as a writer.

I don’t know why I had readers back then.

 

I’ve thought about taking down my archives, but I’ve been encouraged to keep them public to show others how far I’ve come.

mmmKwhatev.  I’m all for self deprecation if it makes someone else feel better, so knock yourself out on my embarrassing old posts.

 

Now let’s talk about how awesome I am today…

 

I’m kind of a powerhouse.  I have Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, which is great. 

Serious.  I’m able to control it and use it in beneficial ways.  OCD is about rules, order, structure, routine…I have an extreme level of discipline, naturally, so living a bossy life is…well…natural for me.

 

Since people love lists, here’s one that represents my interests and personality:

  • marketing and communication
  • fitness
  • music
  • personal development
  • sarcasm

A lot of my posts will include bits of these (with the exception of sarcasm; my posts will include lots of that.  And I’m not being sarcastic about that.).

 

I am constantly thinking.  My mind is “very busy.”  Sometimes I think I’m a philosopher.  (See this post for more on this.)  I like to reframe things, create unique concepts and new ways of thinking…and I like to share it all here.

I won’t get all granola and tree-hugger on you, don’t worry.  I suppose I’m a creative-type, but I do live in the real world.  I get my head jerked out of the clouds every weekday from 8AM-5PM, so even though my brain is…whatever it is…I can still relate to you.

 

OK.  I think I’m done.  Can you just read some recent posts to decide if you want to stick around?  The “About” page is so motherflippin’ hard to write…
